The main material of the Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) is cordierite, combined with an innovative ceramic microstructure designed to capture fine particles while reducing engine back pressure to maintain its performance.
The Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) is specially designed for gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines to reduce particulate matter emissions and meet Euro 6c gasoline vehicle emission standards. GDI engines help improve fuel economy, thereby reducing CO2 emissions; but they have higher particulate emissions than multi-port fuel-injected engines.
The gasoline engine particulate filter (GPF) adopts the same type of wall flow carrier as the diesel particulate filter, except that it is incorporated into the exhaust system in series with a three-way catalyst, or the catalyst coating is directly coated on the GPF carrier to form a four-way catalyst.
